Safety Manager – TM Transportation

Job description

Duties

– Responsible for reviewing driver logs

– Troubleshooting with drivers any issues with trucks

– Maintaining truck maintenance schedule

– Ensure trucks / drivers / logs comply with DOT regulations

– Screen and perform driving tests on potential new drivers

– Manage on the road accidents and reporting

– Ensure driver files are up to date and maintained according to DOT regulations

– Ensure drug and alcohol testing program is in full compliance

– Ensure timely renewal of driver qualifications (CDL license, medical card, etc.)

– Monitor crash response, investigation and management

– Develop and implement comprehensive company safety program

– Comply with OSHA requirements and record keeping

Education

– Knowledge in safety and DOT regulations

– Meet daily deadlines and tasks

– U.S. work authorization

– Ability to fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish

– Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
